Legislative Action

The Legislative Action Committee maintains rapport with legislative bodies at the city, county and state level for the purpose of receiving input from the community and providing feedback to legislators who represent the interests of our Chamber Members and local businesses. The Committee assists in organizing Galveston County Day at the Capitol and provides legislative facts to the Chamber members in an effort to develop actions that will ensure a successful business climate. The Legislative Action Committee identifies and assists citizens who want to learn more about the challenges facing the community, and train, educate and motivate key employees for future leadership roles within the community. The Legislative Action Committee and the Economic Development Committee work hand in hand.
